Uji terbang bertujuan untuk penelitian roket ilmiah. Roket berdiameter 200 mm atau disebut RX-200 diluncurkan pertama, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan RKX-100 yang berdiameter 100 mm. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Peluncuran tersebut dihadiri oleh Kepala Pusat Teknologi Wahana Dirgantara, Ir. Talebzadeh said on Tuesday the country is to implement 10 satellite projects with member states of the organization.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"The organization has defined 10 projects on designing, building and launching light satellites, middle class satellites weighing 500-600 kg, research satellites, remote-sensing and telecommunications satellites," Talebzadeh told ISNA&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"The organization officially started to work in early 2010, but Asian countries found necessity of establishment of the organization in late 2008 when they prepared its articles of association."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It mainly aims at entering into the domains of technology and space studies which follows the same goals pursued by the European Space Agency (ESA).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Secretary General of the organization is elected every five years.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The organization's member states involve China, Iran, Pakistan, Mongolia, Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Peru.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Syria, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Chile have for membership in the group.&lt;div But the US Air Force, it seems, still sees a need for spacecraft which can re-enter atmosphere and make a runway landing. Reports indicate that the X-37B unmanned spaceplane demonstrator will make its first orbital launch in November under USAF auspices.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to Aviation Week, the "Orbital Test Vehicle" - built by Boeing's "Phantom Works" advanced-projects bureau - will be launched atop an Atlas V booster package from Cape Canaveral, taking a launch slot previously filled by a NASA moon reconnaissance mission.&lt;br /&gt;NASA's original long-endurance X-37 orbiter concept&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The X-37 unmanned minishuttle as NASA saw it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The X-37 programme was originally begun by NASA and the Phantom Works in 1999. It was aimed at producing a new generation of orbital spaceplanes, and its immediate justification at the time was the eventual provision of a "lifeboat" landing craft for astronauts on the International Space Station. Various experiments were carried out, involving the release of test airframes from high-flying jets and helicopters, and NASA originally planned to carry out an orbital flight of an unmanned prototype in 2006. The X-37 plans drew heavily on the USAF's X-40 experiments, and it was planned that the more sophisticated X-37 space vehicle would be able to stay in orbit for 21 days.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/1c/NASA_X37_EC99-45145-1.jpg/468px-NASA_X37_EC99-45145-1.jpg" width="450"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v391/dogsledder54/X-37.jpg" width="450"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://regmedia.co.uk/2008/07/31/nasa_x37_concept.jpg" width="450"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://cache1.asset-cache.net/xc/51092972.jpg?v=1&amp;c=IWSAsset&amp;k=2&amp;d=77BFBA49EF878921F7C3FC3F69D929FD15E914480D0BBFBD39A7FA70ECAC4E0ECE8B7B556BE78538F06BF04B24B4128C" width="450"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;NASA no longer has any near-future spaceplane plans, but the X-37B "reusable unmanned space test platform" project has been kept going by Boeing with Air Force money. Boeing have previously said that the USAF's objectives are "concept of operations development for reusable space vehicle technologies", and that orbital tests would commence this year. This latest news seems to confirm that schedule.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just why the Air Force thinks it needs orbital landers isn't clear, but such craft could be one option for America's desired "prompt global reach" capability. Rather than using hypersonic airbreathers ripping through the atmosphere to reach a target, the US forces might choose to send payloads still faster, through the vacuum of low orbit. Future orbiters derived from the X-37 might deliver warheads, spy packages or even troops to far-flung theatres within hours of getting the go order, although they'd never be able to get back again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Returning to the present day, the X-37 isn't anything like the size of a space shuttle - about 27 feet long and with a wingspan of 15 feet. However, it's supposed to be a significant advance on Shuttle technology, with a "highly durable high-temperature thermal protection system" just one of "approximately 30 airframe, propulsion and operation technologies" to be tried out. There's also a 7 foot x 4 foot payload/experiment bay.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With the demise of the Shuttle, the X-37 - small and unmanned though it is - will be the only true, orbital spaceplane in operation, though Europe's "Phoenix" programme is proceeding on similar lines. In the past few years, it has been fairly obvious what these are, and making reasonable five-year projections has not been very difficult. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;In the early 1990s, it was clear to us that small LEO commercial communications satellites weighing less than 1,000 kg were going to be a big driver, because mobile communications systems such as Motorola’s Iridium, Loral’s Globalstar, and Orbital Sciences’ Orbcomm were under development. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;By the mid-1990s, it was becoming evident that the next big driver would likely be commercial broadband multimedia communications sat-ellites such as Hughes Electronics’ Spaceway, Lockheed Martin’s Astro-link, Craig McCaw’s Teledesic, and Alcatel’s SkyBridge—a mix of LEO, me-dium Earth orbit, and geostationary orbit (GEO) spacecraft. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;The first "mobile wave" came and went during 1997-1999, with roughly 150 satellites built and launched by these programs. The satellites ranged in size from the 41.6-kg Orbcomms to the 689-kg Iridiums (the Globalstars weighed 450 kg each). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;The first "broadband wave" will probably start to materialize around 2002-2004, with dozens of new satellites that generally are much larger than the mobiles. This wave will include the 1,000-kg SkyBridges, the 3,200-kg Astrolinks, and the Spaceways, which will probably weigh more than 4,500 kg each. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;As the era of the broadbands approaches, there arises the logical question: "What’s next?" It is fine to be able to peek five years into the future, but the real challenge lies in looking beyond that—say, 10 or 20 years. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;While a 20-year forecast requires some educated speculation, a little creative thinking, and a lot of luck, a 10-year forecast is actually quite doable. The key is being able to spot those "little trends" that have been occurring in the market and to identify some of the promising R&amp;amp;D work under way at companies, universities, and government agencies. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;                 &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Nanosatellites in the 1990s&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;               &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;One of the most interesting little trends that has surfaced lately is the noticeable growth in the number of nanosatellites that are being built and launched. For purposes of this discussion and for the sake of distinguishing them from microsatellites and pico-satellites, nanosatellites will be defined as satellites with a launch mass of 20 kg and under. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;There have been launches (or attempted launches) of approximately 24 nanosatellites into Earth orbit since 1990, for an average of 2.2 satellites a year. Every couple of years, there has been a noticeable spike (three or four satellites) in the number of nanosatellites launched, followed by a dry spell of about two years in which there are no nanosatellites. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Teal Group, for example, counts a total of five nanosatellites launched in 1990. These included the four Oscar-class spacecraft launched on January 22 by an Ariane 40 rocket. These 12-kg nanosatellites, built by Amsat-North America and Weber State University for the Amateur Radio Satellite organization, were for radio communications and also carried some Earth imaging capabilities. They were launched "piggyback" along with the mission’s primary payload, SPOT Image’s 1,870-kg SPOT 2 Earth imaging satellite. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;The other nanosatellite lofted in 1990 was Japan’s 12-kg Hagoromo lunar subsatellite, built by NEC for Ja-pan’s Institute of Space and Astronautical Science. Hagoromo, which was launched with the 185-kg Hiten lunar orbiter by an M-3 rocket, was ejected by Hiten soon after reaching lunar orbit. Unfortunately, its transmitter failed before its planned lunar swingby. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;In 1991, the sole nanosatellite was the 16.7-kg Orbcomm-X demonstration store-and-forward communications satellite, built by Orbital Sciences for its Orbcomm program. It was launched on July 17 aboard an Ariane 40, sharing payload fairing space with ESA’s 2,384-kg ERS-1 remote sensing spacecraft. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Three nanosatellites were orbited in 1993. The 14.5-kg Orbcomm CDS Pathfinder experimental mobile communications satellite, built by Orbital Sciences, was launched by a Pegasus booster on February 9. The 12.5-kg Eyesat 0 demonstration store-and-forward communications satellite, produced by Interferometrics for GE Americom, was launched on September 26 by an Ariane 40. A 12-kg Itamsat radio communications satellite, manufactured by Amsat-Italy for Amateur Radio Satellite, accompanied Eyesat 0 along with the mission’s primary payload, the 1,907-kg SPOT 3. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;For 1995, we count two nano-satellites—the 12-kg UnAMSat-1 and the 20-kg GFZ-1. UnAMSat-1 was an experimental scientific satellite built by/for the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Its launch on March 28 of that year by a Start 1 ended in failure. It would have been orbited along with Moscow State University’s 200-kg EKA-2 scientific satellite, the primary payload. GFZ-1, produced by Kayser-Threde for the GFZ National Center of Germany, was launched on April 9 by a Soyuz U rocket. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;In 1998 a Shtil rocket launched the Tubsat-N and Tubsat-N1 experimental scientific nanosatellites. Each weighed 10 kg and was manufactured by the Technical University of Berlin for the German Space Agency. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;                 &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A sign of things to come?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;               &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;There has been a vague feeling for the past decade or so that something has been trying to happen with regard to nanosatellites, but the numbers simply have not been firm enough to make any solid projections—at least, not until now. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;We believe 2000 will go down as a milestone year for the nanosatellite market. At least 10 nanosatellites were launched. Eight were boosted on one rocket alone—a Minotaur—on January 26. They included Santa Clara University’s 0.5-kg Artemis JAK and Thelma &amp;amp; Louise, Arizona State University’s 5.5-kg ASUSat 1, DARPA’s 0.7-kg Picosat 1A and Picosat 1B, Amateur Radio Satellite’s 0.5-kg Hockeypuck and 0.2-kg Stensat, and Stanford University’s 13.5-kg OPAL. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;There was also the 6.5-kg SNAP-1 Earth imaging satellite, built by the U.K.’s Surrey Satellite Technology for China’s Tsinghua University, and the 10-kg Unisat, produced by/for the University of Rome. SNAP-1 was launched aboard a Cosmos 3M rocket on June 28; a Dnepr rocket launched Unisat on August 25. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;In short, the number of nanosatellites launched in 2000 alone was about 45% of all those launched, or attempted, since 1990. This might be purely coincidental, or it might be a sign that nanosatellites will more regularly be launched in significantly increasing numbers. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;We know of at least 10 nanosatellites planned for launch this year. There are three 1-kg Bitsy satellites, manufactured by AeroAstro for the Air Force; Carnegie Mellon University’s 19-kg Solar Blade Heliogyro Nano-satellite; the Air Force Academy’s 15-kg Glacier Imager, Lightning, Phoenix, and Thunder satellites; the Barcelona Center for Microelectronics’ 19-kg Nanosat; and Sweden’s 5.5-kg Munin. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Other nanosatellites that could go up this year or next year include Boston University’s Constellation Path-finder; New Mexico State University/ University of Colorado-Boulder’s 3^ Sat; University of Utah/University of Washington/Virginia Polytechnic University’s ION-F; and the University of Washington’s UofW Nanosat. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;                 &lt;table align="right" border="0" bordercolor="black" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"&gt;   &lt;tbody&gt;&lt;tr&gt;    &lt;td rowspan="3" width="20"&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;   &lt;tr&gt;   &lt;td&gt;        &lt;table width="270" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"&gt;     &lt;tbody&gt;&lt;tr&gt;     &lt;td class="artcaption"&gt;&lt;i&gt;In 1990, Japan’s 12-kg Hagoromo lunar nanosatellite was launched with the 185-kg iten  lunar orbiter by an M-3 rocket. This expression can mean simply that they are stacked within a special compartmentalized structure for auxiliary satellites within the payload fairing. Think of it as traveling second class or coach. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Among the latest trends, however, is the attachment of lots of satellites to a host platform, which also happens to be a satellite itself. The idea of "subsatellites" is nothing new. What is new is the standardization of host platforms, so that they are compatible with a range of different launch vehicles, as well as their low cost and the multiple number of satellites they can accommodate. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;The host platform for the nano-satellites launched aboard the Minotaur in January 2000 was the Joint Air Force Academy-Weber State University Satellite (JAWSAT). A company called One Stop Satellite Solutions (OSSS) has now been licensed to manufacture and market the JAWSAT technology developed by Weber State’s Center for Aerospace Technology. OSSS has come up with a host platform called the Multiple-Payload Adaptor (MPA). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;On July 18, 2000, OSSS signed a memorandum of understanding with International Space Company Kosmotras of Moscow and Thiokol Propulsion to cooperate in small satellite integration management through 2007. OSSS will use its MPA to integrate multiple satellites weighing 23 kg or less into a single payload module. Kosmotras will allocate one launch a year to OSSS aboard Dnepr rockets through 2007. The first launch is scheduled for March 2001. Thiokol will provide organizational and legal support for the joint program as a marketing agent of Kosmotras. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Another company, AeroAstro, has come up with a more maneuverable host platform called SPORT (Small Payload Orbit Transfer). SPORT can do everything MPA can do and more. One of its added features is a propulsion system that allows it to move far away from the launch vehicle "drop-off point" and ferry its subsatellites to more precise orbital locations. This flexibility saves fuel for the subsatellites and, more important, expands the number of possible launch missions on which the host platform and its subs can hitch a ride. If SPORT and its subs want to go to LEO, they have the option of being launched aboard a rocket with a GEO destination. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Last November AeroAstro received its first contract, worth $3 million, for SPORT from Astronautic Technology Sdn. Bhd. (ATSB) of Malaysia. ATSB’s NeqO satellite would be carried by SPORT to a low equatorial orbit, or LeqO, following launch by an Ariane 5 to geostationary transfer orbit. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;AeroAstro also maintains a cooperative agreement with Arianespace to make SPORT compatible with the Ariane 5’s ASAP, or Ariane Structure for Auxiliary Payloads, module, which contains stacked satellites. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;We think that MPA and SPORT represent important steps in the development of the nanosatellite market. Having the ability to easily launch and deploy possibly dozens of nanosatellites on such a host platform will make it feasible (both logistically and economically) for launch services companies to seriously consider the builders and operators of these satellites as viable customers. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Without having something like MPA or SPORT, it is probably not worth launch providers’ time or effort to target customers interested in launching nano-satellites, given the relatively minuscule prices they can charge them for a ride into space. These could well be revolutionary types of technologies, in terms of the way they may expand both the number of satellites that could be launched and the number of players who compete in the satellite market. They could enable nanosatellite launches to increase from the current 10 or so satellites per year to hundreds. If this happens, nano-satellites, along with microsatellites and picosatellites, could be the next major driver of the satellite market, perhaps during 2005-2010. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;A more mature nanosatellite market would be extremely good news for reusable launch vehicle programs that hope to field prototypes and initial operational models during the next 10 years. Under "conventional" satellite market forecasts, which largely do not account for nanosatellites, the number of satellites projected to be built and launched over the next 10 years is roughly 1,000, or an average of 100 satellites a year. With such low numbers, it is difficult to justify investing in costly and somewhat risky reusables. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;With an energized micro-, pico-, and nanosatellite market, the number of satellites could conceivably grow exponentially and create the kind of launch volume needed to make RLVs both profitable and affordable. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;                 &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The role of cheap launch vehicles&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;               &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;It is probably not a coincidence that the sudden jump in the number of nanosatellites being launched is occurring at a time when several new and relatively inexpensive ELVs have entered the market—rockets such as the Air Force’s Minotaur, Russia’s Shtil and Start 1, and the Ukraine’s Dnepr. Many of these vehicles, which are essentially converted ballistic missiles, can launch a half-dozen or more nanosatellites, plus a larger primary satellite, for a total mission cost of around $10 million. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;This means that a ticket for orbiting a nanosatellite or group of nano-satellites can now more commonly be had for a few hundred thousand dollars or less. We believe the German space agency paid $138,000 to the Russian navy for the launch of its two Tubsats aboard the Shtil. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;In addition to these new offerings, several traditional Russian launchers, such as the Cosmos 3M and Soyuz U, also are being aggressively marketed to the small-satellite-and-under market through joint ventures with Western companies. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;The marriage of convenience between cheap foreign launchers (plus U.S.-government-subsidized rockets such as Minotaur) and the builders and operators of nanosatellites is evident. The former are desperately searching for launch customers, particularly in the current bear market. The latter are interested in bargain-basement launch prices. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;span class="artcontent"&gt;Thus we expect that the nano-satellite manifests of the launch vehicles mentioned above, and perhaps a handful of other "Wal-Mart rockets," will continue to expand. Only four more shuttle flights are left.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Endeavour is carrying a new room for the International Space Station and an observation deck. These are the last major pieces for the orbiting complex.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The shuttle is scheduled to reach the space station on Wednesday. Teropong yang dibuat mandiri oleh Institut Teknologi Bandung ini dikhususkan untuk penelitian matahari, khususnya bagian korona.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Teropong matahari ini terdiri dari tiga jenis teleskop heliostat yang beroperasi sekaligus secara three in one. Yaitu, visual white light yang dilengkapi filter berkekuatan 10.000 kali, hidrogen alfa, dan kalsium. Ketiga jenis teleskop ini memiliki fungsi yang berbeda-beda. Teleskop hidrogen alfa misalnya, sangat baik untuk melihat ledakan matahari di lapisan korona. Sementara, teleskop berfilter kascium sangat idel untuk meneliti permukaan matahari dan mengamati aktivitas bintik matahari (sunspot).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Teleskop yang kalsium adalah yang pertama di Indonesia. Lapan memang memiliki yang alfa, tetapi katanya kurang maksimal karena sedang bermasalah. Dengan teleskop ini, kita bisa mengamati ledakan matahari dengan sangat baik," tutur Dhani Herdiwijaya dari Astronomi ITB.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Clara Yatini dari Bidang Matahari dan Antariksa Lapan membenarkan, keberadaan teropong matahari di ITB diharapkan bisa menopang riset mengenai aktivitas matahari secara lebih baik lagi. Lapan sebetulnya sudah memiliki teropong matahari khusus yang ada di stasiun Tanjungsari, Sumedang, dan Watukosek, Gresik, namun teropong yang ada belum maksimal. "Selama ini, kami lebih sering masih menggunakan yang jenis black and white," katanya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kepala Observatorium Boscha Taufik Hidayat menuturkan, fasilitas teropong matahari yang dilengkapi dengan rumah teropong ini bisa digunakan lintas lembaga, tidak hanya ITB. "Fasilitas ini dapat digunakan untuk guru, siswa, masyarakat umum yang haus dengan ilmu pengetahuan," tuturnya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Berbeda dengan delapan teropong lainnya yang ada di Boscha, teropong ini dioperasikan secara real time (terus menerus). Data dan citra hasil pemantauan ditayangkan di layar monitor Worlwide Telescope hasil sumbangan Microsoft serta di proyektor yang bisa dilihat langsung oleh pengunjung. "Data di-upload di situs ITB. Jadi, setiap orang bisa mendapat data ini di mana saja," ujarnya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Selain lensa coronado yang dibeli dari luar, baik perangkat teknis maupun sistem operasinya dikembangkan secara mandiri oleh tim dari ITB. Pengamat astronomi, Dedy Suardi mengemukakan Juni 2008 ini pemburu UFO dari seluruh Indonesia akan berkumpul di Bandung.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Berkumpulnya para pemburu ini terkait dengan prediksi Dedy bahwa Juni sampai Agustus 2008 penampakan benda asing akan semakin sering. Pengamat luar angkasa dekaligus penulis buku Tafakur di Galaksi Luhur, Dedy Suardi mengajak siapa saja yang penasaran melihat benda asing tersebut untuk datang ke rumahnya di Ciburial.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Juni rencananya UFO hunter sari Yogya akan datang ke rumah saya," ungkap Dedy ditemui dikediamannya di Ciburial, Jumat (4/4/2008).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dirinya sangat percaya dengan UFO walaupun dirinya mengaku belum bertemu langsung. Namun dia memastikan suatu saat hal itu bisa terjadi dan dirinya akan mengabadikan dengan kamera dan handycam.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dedy sangat berharap obsesinya untuk mangabadikan UFO suatu saat akan terwujud. Dia hanya menunggu makhluk tersebut datang.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Saya akan merasa puas kalau ketemu makhluk asing ini yang kata orang-orang banyak bilang," ungkapnya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ketika ditanya apakah benda asing tersebut setiap harinya ada Dedy menyebutkan hal itu ada. Namun keberadaannya sulit ditemui apalagi jika ditunggu dengan sengaja.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Bisa juga karena feeling, kalau feeling akan muncul maka suka ada yang muncul, namun cepat juga hilangnya," jelasnya.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Menurut Dedy, bentuk benda asing yang sering dilihatnya menyerupai cerutu, mangkok atau berbentuk pipih. Dari benda tersebut keluar cahaya putih atau warna oranye.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Berdasarkan pengamatannya, benda-benda melintas secara horizontal. Wicaksono, PhD., di Surabaya, Senin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Di sela-sela Lokakarya INSPIRE (Indonesian Nano Satellite Platform Initiative for Research &amp; Education) di PENS ITS, ia mengatakan pertemuan akan berlanjut dengan penelitian secara intensif di Belanda atau di Indonesia.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"INSPIRE merupakan forum pertemuan antarmahasiswa dengan berbagai stakeholder dari pemerintah dan lembaga riset untuk mendorong penguasaan teknologi satelit sejak kalangan mahasiswa," katanya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Alumnus Teknik Fisika ITB Bandung (S1) pada tahun 1934-1998 itu menyatakan Indonesia sangat membutuhkan satelit untuk peta hutan, perikanan, bencana alam, kepulauan, kriminalitas laut, dan sebagainya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Kita sudah memiliki Satelit Palapa dan usianya sudah 30 tahunan. Teknologinya dibuat di luar negeri, sehingga devisa negara akan tersedot keluar dan kita akhirnya tidak memiliki kemandirian," kata alumnus Tokyo University of Technology (S2) itu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Menurut alumnus TU Delft Belanda (S3) itu, satelit yang besar itu membutuhkan dana yang mahal hingga ratusan miliar atau bahkan triliunan, namun nano-satelit hanya berkisar Rp5 miliar dan satelit mini akan bertahan selama kurun tiga tahunan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Tidak hanya murah, tapi nano-satelit itu sebenarnya dapat kita kuasai dengan mudah, apalagi di dalamnya sudah ada unsur pendidikan, aspek aplikasi teknologi, dan penelitian lintas keilmuan seperti telekomunikasi, elektronika, energi surya, dan sebagainya," katanya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oleh karena itu, kata penggagas INSPIRE itu, para dosen dapat mendorong mahasiswa telekomunikasi yang selama ini merumuskan tugas akhir (TA) tentang alat-alat telekomunikasi seperti handphone (HP), namun kini dapat mengarahkan TA pada bidang satelit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Jadi, pembahasan dapat dilakukan pada tahun 2009, lalu tahun 2010 dengan penelitian intensif, bahkan TU Delft sangat senang bila penelitian dapat dilakukan di Belanda, kemudian tahun 2011 dilakukan persiapan dan tahun 2012 ada peluncuran," katanya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Senada dengan itu, Sekretaris Menkominfo, Dr Eng. Son Kuswadi, menyatakan dana pembuatan nano-satelit hanya Rp5 miliar dan bila dimulai dengan pertemuan, penelitian, hingga akhirnya peluncuran nano-satelit, maka akan dibutuhkan dana sekitar Rp10 miliar.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Pembahasan lewat workshop yang melibatkan puluhan mahasiswa dari berbagai universitas itu akan kita lakukan dua kali selama tahun 2009, termasuk pembahasan dengan LAPAN, BPPT, IPTN, Departemen Kelautan dan Perikanan," katanya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Setelah itu, kata dosen robotik PENS ITS Surabaya itu, pembahasan intensif untuk aplikasi akan dilakukan di TU Delft Belanda dan di Indonesia hingga tahun 2011.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Tahun 2012 akan kita lakukan peluncuran, apakah peluncuran akan memanfaatkan lembaga sejenis LAPAN di Indonesia yang sudah memiliki lokasi peluncuran roket atau mungkin LAPAN juga sudah siap pada tahun itu," katanya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ia menambahkan pemanfaatan nano-satelit itu akan diaplikasikan untuk fungsi telekomunikasi di saat bencana alam dan pencegahan pencurian ikan. Selain itu upaya ini dilakukan untuk menjawab beberapa pertanyaan mendasar manusia yang terkait dengan eksistensi mereka di alam semesta dan hubungan mereka dengan anggota alam semesta lainnya seperti planet-planet, matahari, bintang, dan lain-lain. Manusia ingin tahu pula bagaimana evolusi bumi dan tata surya, bagaimana kehidupan bisa muncul, dan apakah kita tidak sendiri di seluruh alam semesta ini.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sekarang ini upaya mempelajari matahari menjadi semakin penting, karena semakin disadari bahwa matahari merupakan sumber energi dan gangguan bagi bumi dan seluruh kehidupan yang terdapat di permukaannya. Selain itu, masalah perubahan iklim dan pemanasan global bisa menjadi salah arah apabila faktor matahari tidak dimasukkan ke dalam aspek yang memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk iklim bumi secara keseluruhan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Upaya mempelajari planet-planet dan satelitnya yang terdapat di luar bumi seperti Venus, Mars, dan Titan (satelit Saturnus) membuat kita bisa meletakkan bumi kita dalam konteks, yaitu bagaimana evolusi bumi dikaitkan dengan evolusi tata surya secara keseluruhan. Di Yogyakarta banyak pelajar yang membentuk tim atau klub roket air. Kontes tersebut untuk menguji kemampuan para pelajar dalm menekuni bidang sains.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Kontes sains memang dirasa masih kurang, kontes roket air ini untuk menumbuhkan minat pelajar terhadap teknologi,” kata Mulana Kesuma Tarigan, Kepala Seksi Pengembangan Keprograman Taman Pintar Kota Yogyakarta, Ahad (11/10).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Penyelenggaraan kontes roket air, kata dia merupakan salah satu upaya menguji kemampuan anggota-anggota klub yang dibentuk oleh para pelajar atas prakarsa Taman Pintar. Para pemenang akan diikutkan dama kontes roket nasional yang akan digelar di Bantul DI Yogyakarta apad 1 Nopember mendatang.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ke 172 peserta yang ikut kontes tersebut berasal dari 36 tim dari 22 Sekolah Menengah Pertama , 20 tim dari 14 Sekolah Menengah Atas/Sekolan Menengah Kejuruan di Kota Yogyakarta, Kabupaten Bantul, Sleman dan Kulonprogo. Sebelum mengikuti kontes, mereka sudah mendapatkan workshop (pelatihan) di Taman Pintar pada 3 Oktober yang lalu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Agung Dini Wahyudi, Ketua Panitia Kontes Roket Air I Taman Pintar, kontes tersebut melombakan dua kategori. Yaitu kategori vertikal dengan melombakan lama waktu roket di udara dan penentuan zona titik pendaratan. Selain itu kategori tembak sasaran, dengan kemampuan menjangkau sasaran yang telah ditentukan. How passé. For the spacecraft with truly modern flair, an ion thruster is the only way to go. Such a system might not provide powerful and dramatic bursts of speed, but space agencies around the world are recognizing the benefits of its slow-and-steady approach, which is just what’s needed for cruising between planets.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ion propulsion works by electrically charging, or ionizing, a gas and accelerating the resulting ions to propel a spacecraft. The concept was conceived more than 50 years ago, and the first spacecraft to use the technology was Deep Space 1 in 1998. Since then … there have only been a few other noncommercial spacecrafts that have used ion propulsion [Technology Review]. However, the technology has a clear advantage over chemical propulsion when it comes to long distance missions, because a very small amount of gas can carry a spacecraft a long way. Astronautics expert Alexander Bruccoleri explains that with chemical propulsion, “You are limited in what you can bring to space because you have to carry a rocket that is mostly fuel” [Technology Review]. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, a European Space Agency (ESA) probe will use four ion thrusters to scoot all the way to Mercury, the planet nearest to the sun. That mission won’t launch until 2014, but ESA officials say the $37 million propulsion system will be the most efficient yet, and will also be the most ambitious test of the technology to date. The Mercury probe will be launched by a conventional rocket, and will continue to use chemical propulsion until it’s out of Earth orbit. When it begins its six-year cruise to Mercury, though, its ion thrusters will kick in. The system will draw electricity from solar panels; as the xenon ions pass through the electrified grids they accelerate to up to 50km a second (31 miles per second) and shoot from the rear in a parallel beam. Jika kita sampai di pusat Cikajang kita akan menemukan hiruk pikuk roda perekonomian daerah ini dengan banyaknya angkutan yang sembarang parkir ato sayuran yang bertebaran di jalan utama, tentu saja beserta becek.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Setelah melewati Cikajang kita akan melewati perkebunan teh dari PT.PN VII yang sangat indah dah tidak kalah menakjudkan dari pemandangan kebun teh di Puncak Bogor atau kebun teh Subang dan yang jelas tidak macet. Disusul kemudian peluncuran enam roket berbahan bakar glukosa dengan jangkauan mencapai 1 kilometer.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Peluncuran roket disaksikan Kepala Lapan Adi Sadewo Salatun, Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Laut Laksamana Slamet Soebijanto, Ketua Dewan Riset Nasional Mahdi Kartasasmita.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Menteri Negara Riset dan Teknologi Kusmayadi Kusmayanto, Panglima TNI Marsekal Djoko Suyanto, Ketua Komisi VII DPR Agusman Effedi, beserta jajaran pejabat lainnya, batal menghadiri peluncuran roket yang di antaranya bisa diaplikasikan untuk senjata militer rudal jarak jauh tersebut.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para pejabat negara tersebut berangkat dari Bandara Halim Perdanakusumah Jakarta pagi tadi menuju Bandung dengan pesawat udara.Setiba di Bandung dilanjutkan dengan helikopter menuju Stasiun Peluncuran Roket Lapan di Pameungpeuk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perjalanan menuju Pameungpeuk kemudian terhambat cuaca yang buruk, sehingga perjalanan dibatalkan. KSAL Slamet Soebijanto tiba di Pameungpeuk menggunakan kendaraan jalur darat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Peluncuran roket Lapan tahun ini merupakan prestasi tersendiri, karena ada aplikasi penemuan propelan atau bahan bakar roket buatan Lapan sendiri," kata Slamet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kepala Lapan Adi Sadewo mengatakan, hambatan pengembangan roket di Indonesia selama ini pada ketersediaan bahan bakar propelan yang masih harus diimpor. "Tidak semua negara produsen propelan mau menjual propelannya.
